The ingots produced in our Ingot Factory are physically transformed into blocks and wafers in our Wafer Factory through precise cutting applications.

First, the ends of the ingot are separated from the body. The edges are then carefully cut, resulting in a block with a rectangular shape. These blocks are then subjected to the highly delicate processes of cutting and slicing.

Ingot Preparation

Ingots are transformed from their cylindrical shape into rectangular blocks through special processes.

Cutting Process

The cutting process is carried out using diamond-coated copper wires with a thickness of 55 microns.

Slicing Process

From each block, approximately 3,200 wafers with a thickness of 160 microns are obtained.

Precision in Wafer Transformation

This process is performed with diamond-coated copper wires of 55 microns* in thickness and with the aid of cooling fluids. The diamond-coated wires, moving at a speed of 15 meters per second, cut into 170-micron slices. At the end of the cutting and slicing process, approximately 3,200 wafers with a thickness of 160 microns are obtained from each block.

Quality and Precision

This meticulous process starting from ingots ensures the production of high-quality and ultra-thin wafers. Each wafer is specially produced for use in the solar energy and electronics industries.

High-Precision Processes: Wafers are subjected to further processing with specialized equipment and techniques to enhance quality and precision.

Capturing Sunlight: Processed wafers form the core components of solar panels and have the ability to capture sunlight with high efficiency.

Quality and Reliability Control: Wafer production determines the quality, reliability, and long-term performance of solar panels, which is why it is carried out with great care. Quality inspections are frequently conducted.

The wafer production stage is just one of the steps required to build the future of solar energy. The precision and care shown here reflect Kalyon PV’s commitment to producing high-quality solar panels.

As Kalyon PV, we produce high-efficiency solar energy panels to become a brand in renewable energy and work for a sustainable world.
